More than coffee chat

Short encounters can make a big difference in the experience of pressure, especially for young parents. That's why there is 'More than coffee chat'.

'More than coffee chat' is a methodology developed by CM to support schools and organizations (e.g. sports clubs and youth movements) to initiate social contacts between parents.

Why?

Social contact is an important discharger : venting, relaxing, ventilating. That's nice. We let something go, recharge ourselves, feel recognized, exchange experiences, give and receive valuable tips. And so unnecessary negative feelings about ourselves or others do not accumulate.

Many parents feel that they have less time and energy to meet up with family, friends and colleagues. They often think that we are alone in raising children. That caring for their children is solely their concern.

Fortunately, there are places where they can meet other parents: at the bakery, the childminder, in the park, a local coffee bar or at the school gate. Places where there is room for such small encounters can break the daily rush. It is an invitation to come into the now. You go from feeling like you're the only one struggling with this, to the reality that everyone is struggling with the same things.

These short chats in daycare or at the school gate are important and beneficial . Give parents time for such a chat.

For who is it?
