Transport to reference or rehabilitation center
Does your child need to visit a reference or rehabilitation center regularly? Compulsory health insurance reimburses transport costs to and from the center.
The health insurance reimburses 0.32 euros per kilometer for travel costs to and from the reference or rehabilitation center where your child is being monitored.
- When calculating transport costs , your child's place of residence counts and not the parent's home.
- CM pays the compensation to the parent or guardian with whom the child is registered as a dependent.

What are the conditions?
The patient is younger than 18 years old and is followed up in one of the following reference centers for:
- rare hereditary monogenic metabolic diseases;
- cystic fibrosis;
- neuromuscular diseases;
- cerebral palsy;
- spina bifida;
- for pediatric nephrology;
- diabetes.
