Isi+ card becomes fully digital

No more physical isi+ cards will be issued. The digital version can be found in My CM.

Isi-what?

The isi+ card is a card that shows that you are covered by Belgian social security. Anyone who does not have an eID to show this, can receive an isi+ card. You can use it to identify yourself at the pharmacy or in the hospital.

For example, children under 12 automatically receive an isi+ card when they are registered with the health insurance fund. Other people who fall under Belgian social security but do not have an eID, such as cross-border workers who work in Belgium but do not live there, can also apply for an isi+ card.

What is changing?

Nieuw

No new physical isi+ cards will be issued. New isi+ cards will now only be available digitally in My CM or in the MyGov app.

For children, it is automatically available in My CM, under the person they are dependent on. Other people must first request the card before they can see it in My CM.

You can print out the digital version or download it in PDF format.

The existing cards remain valid until the expiry date stated on the card.
