Evidential value of digital documents

CM receives many documents for the management of a file, such as a registration form, certificates for assistance provided and illness reports.

After processing, we must keep these documents for several years. Since 2009, a number of them have been scanned for digital storage . We follow a strict procedure that guarantees that the digital documents are and remain a complete and correct copy of the original paper documents.

Through a procedure with the Minister of Social Affairs, we obtained ministerial recognition for our electronic archiving system. This means that our digital documents have official evidentiary value . This means that they are equivalent to the original paper documents, which means we can destroy them.
