Babysitter for chronically ill children
Does your child have a disability or chronic condition? Do you want to catch your breath or go somewhere? Then expert volunteers are available day and night to provide home care.
CM offers babysitting at an affordable hourly rate , for both day and night babysitting. CM follows the rate set by the Flemish Agency for Care & Health.
The keeper:
- provides companionship, supervision and ensures pleasant time spent in the home environment;
- helps with limited movements in and around the house;
- takes on a limited number of tasks such as heating up meals, helping with eating and going to the toilet;
- may supervise other children in the family;
- does not perform household or nursing duties and may not provide assistance with the administration of medication;
- In case of emergency, contact the family, GP or emergency services.
Request the babysitter
Request the babysitter at the Zorglijn at least ten working days in advance. This can be done by telephone or email. You can also contact the Zorglijn for more information.

What are the conditions?
Your child:
- is younger than 19 years old;
- has a disability or chronic condition;
- is registered with the Flemish Agency for Persons with Disabilities (VAPH);
- or is entitled to increased child benefit;
- or you can submit a medical or social report.
Extra information
Do you have a complaint? Contact your contact person at CM or let us know via www.cm.be/complaints. After all, we improve our service with your response. We guarantee an initial response within seven days and the complete handling of your complaint within thirty days.
The 'Babysitting for children with a disability or chronic condition' service is recognized and subsidized by the Flemish government in the residential care decree. We work according to the principles of integrated quality care.
