CM-caregiver at home
Are you caring for someone who is chronically ill, elderly, or has a disability? Perhaps you, as a caregiver, want some time for yourself or sometimes need to go somewhere. Then you can count on CM-Oppas aan huis (Caregiver at Home). Our volunteers come to your home, day, evening, and even overnight.
CM offers caregiving for 3.57 euros per hour . This follows the rate set by the Flemish Agency for Care and Health .
What does the caregiver do?
The caregiver:
- provides company and supervision;
- helps with small movements in and around the home;
- takes on small tasks such as heating meals and assisting with eating and using the toilet;
- In the event of an emergency, notify the family, GP or emergency services.
What doesn't the caregiver do?
The caregiver:
- does not do housework or provide nursing care;
- is not allowed to administer medication.
What are the conditions?
The 'oppas'-service takes place at your home. This is also possible if someone is in short-term care or lives in assisted living.
Night care is possible under the same conditions.
Request the caregiver
Request the caregiver at least five working days in advance. To do so, contact the Zorglijn by telephone or email. You can also contact the Zorglijn for more information.

What is the condition?
The minding service takes place in a home situation (also for people who have a short stay or live in an assisted living facility).

When you first register, you'll receive an appointment note . This will outline the arrangements and how we work.
Do you have a complaint?
Contact your contact person at CM or let us know via www.cm.be/klachten . We'll provide an initial response within seven days. Your complaint will be fully processed within thirty days.
Automatic refund
For night care starting January 1, 2024, the CM night care benefit will be automatically reimbursed after you pay your invoice. As a CM member, you no longer need to submit invoices.
Certified caregiving service
The "CM-Oppas aan huis" service is recognized and subsidized by the Flemish government under the Residential Care Decree. It operates according to the principles of integrated quality management.
